Please remember that the cut-off date for ordering shirts to get them in time for the Gathering was Friday, 1st August. You will still be able to order after that, right up till the end of August, but we won't guarantee delivery before the weekend of the Gathering unless your order was in by close of play on the 1st. There is still a backlog of orders, but they're going out as fast as possible. Stickers can still be ordered for delivery in time for the event right up till 14th August. |

With just one month to go until the largest Subaru event the world has seen we're sure you're wondering (as are we!) where we're at in terms of the numbers of cars attending. A quick run of a report and a bit of de-duplication and, if everybody turns up, we have an amazing880! cars registered so far with more coming in daily! That doesn't include the Polish guys who are coming over who we don't have exact numbers or Registration Number details for yet or a few of the local guys in Scotland who got their stickers early and aren't yet on the database. That should take us over 900! We know some of you are tentative and it depends on work and (thanks to the Government's policy to price us off the roads) finances at the time, but this is going to be massive and not to be missed! If you have bought stickers for others and used your own registration number when ordering, please let us know their details so we can update our database. More on the event soon as things really start to ramp up! |

Yes, the Intrepid Trio, Three Musketeers, Three Wise Monkeys, whatever you want to call the three over-stressed people organising this event made the drive from Lanark to Prodrive on Saturday on a full recce of the route taking in everything from sorting out parking at Lanark, timings en route, joining points etc etc. We then spent today with the Fourth Musketeer - Jackie from Prodrive who's enthusiasm for this event is unbounded, at both their facilities - Banbury and Warwick sorting out the logistics of parking and moving a huge number of cars and also some of the events planned. We'll be updating you all with the latest news in a few days once we've got everything together. We'll even be able to answer the fifteen billion "What time will you be at Charnock Richards?" questions! The McRae Gathering has gained extensive publicity recently in both the Online and Printed Press. Unfortunately, not all have passed on a key piece of information regarding the event - The McRae Gathering is ONLY open to SUBARU vehicles. We do appreciate that Colin drove for other Marques, but it was decided right from the very outset that this would be an event organised by Subaru drivers for Subaru drivers. That is the basis we have worked on and that is the basis we have obtained permission from the various bodies we've had to work with. We simply cannot open it to all. |
