TV coverage 5 Months, 3 Weeks ago
Hi I was wondering if anybody had given thought to any TV coverage?
Top Gear or Fifth Gear? or any of the smaller ones from Sky which now exist.
I don't have any connections but perhaps someone out there does.
Booked my accomm just waiting for stickers and T shirts to arrive. Too good an opportunity to miss

Hi there

At the outset of this grand plan we approached Top Gear with a view to them attending but were told that all the presenters are busy that weekend.

Fifth Gear let us down previously on the Richard Burns Relay so they have not been approached but we will fire off an email to see what the response is like

We have had interest in other forms of visual media but at this stage nothing concrete can be confirmed.

With it being a World Record Attempt i am sure that some forms of the news media will show an interest at some point.

Hope this helps

Grant

Cheers Grant,

Yes it should provide an excellent story for who ever decides to cover it.
Received my stickers today which really make you feel part of something.

Although I don't think it's on terrestrial TV in the UK these days, wouldn't the most suitable place for TV coverage to be in the official WRC coverage? They produce 'magazine' style shows as well as the actual 'as live' coverage where this sort of thing would fit really well.... It's produced by a company called North One Television based in London (google them and you'll get their number)....

What about contacting Central news? a friend of a friend contacted them about an event they are organising and they have said they will cover it, just a thought
